Voting on May 19
What do candidates really think?
Between now and the May 19 Republican primary, you'll be told what to think about the candidates for the Idaho Legislature. Mailers will arrive. Texts will buzz. Ads will follow you across your feeds and your TV screen. Every one of them was paid for by someone with a stake in how you vote — a campaign, a PAC, an interest group, a donor. Those people aren't accountable to you. The candidates are.
This site won't tell you who to vote for. It gives you the publicly posted contact information so you can reach the candidates directly and hear their answers in their own words. Ask them what they believe. Ask them what they've done. Ask them the questions the ads won't.

How to read political advertising
Every mailer, ad, text, and robocall has a "Paid for by" line. Idaho law requires it. Knowing what it tells you — and what it hides — is the difference between informed and influenced.
